He's still an asshole, but I've been learning something about him that I didn't expect to learn.

I fear that he has yet to recover from his sister's passing.
That, and he obviously doesn't know how to do most house chores. He'll do his half of the laundry, and keep his room neat, but it's like pulling teeth to get him to actually do any other cleaning tasks.
It most likely is. And I'm willing to give him his space, but I'm also trying to keep an eye out for signs of it becoming worse.
I want to, but the last thing I need is to say the wrong word and have him storm off. Again. I may need some ideas as to how to go about this without both of us losing our tempers.

Have you taught him? Perhaps it might help to teach him how to do so, without coming across as 'teaching' him.
